Career & point of view

Mark Riccadonna hasn’t stopped working since the day he graduated from the Academy. He is an actor, voice-over artist, writer, comedian, and, in recent years, producer and director. Eighteen-plus years on set and on the road have taught him more than any classroom could. Now he wants to hand that experience down to the next generation of artists. Giving back what he’s learned, he says, is the best way to keep growing—as a performer, a director, and a human being.

Mark has worked as a comedian across the globe with the USO and Armed Forces Entertainment, hosted talk radio out of Atlantic City and New Jersey 101.5, and performed in the Off-Broadway hit Happy in the Poor House.

Directing, producing & training

Behind the camera, Mark has directed pilots, films, and theatre including Double Eagle, Saint It Ain’t So, Radio Gods, The Boom, Tracey’s Rules, The Richie Byrne Show, and Dirty Shorts and Sketches. He produced Dark State, Flicker Box, Radio Gods, and The Devils Tree, and wrote for Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update.

He trained at AADA, studied with Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a company member of the Amoralists. His film My Friend Doubt has earned awards recognition including Best Short and Best Director honors. People remember Mark: a gifted storyteller with a signature voice, delivery, and likability.

Television, stage, screen & streaming

Peter J. Demas has spent his career making innovative programming and content for television, stage, screen, and streaming. He began at MTV News & Specials, then built global home entertainment leadership experience and executive produced more than 120 titles.

His work has included STARZ, Starcom MediaVest, and DISH. That career gives Peter a creative-plus-business perspective on the audience, the platform, the positioning, and the practical route from a strong idea to a project that can travel.

At Angry Shih Tzu, he brings that full view into the room: the instincts to recognize what is special, the experience to shape it for the right outlet, and the network-side fluency to help move it forward.

Writer, director & stand-up comedian

JD Shapiro is an award-winning writer, director, and stand-up comedian whose projects have been part of nearly $3 billion in worldwide business. His work includes Yo Solo Quiero Irme A Francia, Tras Los Pasos De La Rubia, The Comedy Store, I’m with Stupid, and Eva’s Comet.

He has collaborated with Stan Lee and worked on We Married Margo, Battlefield Earth, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Mel Brooks has spoken about his work. His background spans writing, directing, and live comedy, with a voice that can move between the joke, the character, and the larger story.

A life in the frame

Doug Tubach has worked in the entertainment field since 1985. He studied at Syracuse Newhouse and worked on Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theatre, as well as at HBO, Fox, and ABC.

For 25 years, Doug worked as a VFX supervisor and digital artist on feature films, including Academy Award-winning films. That experience gives him a multidisciplinary filmmaking perspective: he understands the practical decisions behind the frame and the digital craft that finishes it.

As a producer and VFX specialist, Doug brings that mix of story sense, production experience, and technical fluency to the work.

Michel Grey is an award-winning filmmaker and entrepreneur whose work moves between features, documentaries, music, and cause-driven entertainment.
